| Aims and objectives of BLF are: |

To act as a credible "think tank" in the
development of pulmonology (for Govt. and NGO programs)

To publish guidelines for the management of all common
chest diseases. |
3.
To organize Referral consultation by leading pulmonologists
for complicated patients from all over the country
at concessional cost. |
4.
To publish scientific journals. |
5.
To publish booklets, leaflets and posters on pulmonary
diseases for enhancing social awareness |
6.
To organize patient advocacy and support groups e.g
Asthma Club. |
7.
To arrange training programs, orientation courses,
seminars and workshops for doctors for updating their
knowledge of pulmonology. |

To facilitate interaction between pulmonologists, media
activists and civil society for formulation of effective
plans and programs. |

To promote meaningful interaction with regional and
international organizations for scientific exchange,
